European Tour Special Guests Announced

The Cinematic Orchestra are thrilled to announce the special guests joining them on a twenty-two date tour of Europe, commencing 5 November in Barcelona. The group have curated each night themselves, hand-selecting the finest crop of friends and collaborators in homage to the band’s past, present and future pushing the boundaries of genre-transcending contemporary music.

Miguel Atwood-Ferguson — celebrated jack-of-all-trades who worked closely with TCO on their forthcoming record — joins the group for eight dates alongside Kendrick Lamar collaborator and psychedelic jazz maestro Thundercat. Both LA legends have featured prominently on Flying Lotus’ critically acclaimed records and will come together for a unique presentation of Thundercat’s repertoire as well as new collaborative pieces.

Fellow Ninja Tune artist Dorian Concept was inspired by The Cinematic Orchestra as a child and went on to form a relationship with saxophonist Tom Chant, eventually leading to a collaborative composition and performance at the Barbican. A well-established innovator in his own right, Dorian Concept melds diverse sonic influences with a captivating live reputation sure to boggle minds at eight dates this tour.

Kutmah, longtime ambassador of the transcontinental beat scene, appears on four dates. His eclecticism and unmistakable ear for what’s next have earned him accolades as a Brainfeeder associate, NTS Radio star in London and forerunner of multi-genre mingling at his famed Sketchbook nights in LA.

Radio DJ heroes Lefto (Studio Brussel) & Benji B (BBC Radio 1) both make appearances in their home territories, having amassed a loyal following of local listeners. Yet their reliably multifarious and top-notch selections have given them a reputation worldwide for incorporating their mutual longtime love of jazz alongside the most cutting-edge of hip-hop, electronica, r’n’b & more from around the globe.

The band concludes their run of dates in the UK and there will be joined by rising LA singer-songwriter Moses Sumney. Tapped for his arresting vocals on TCO’s next project, the collaborator will also perform his solo material in Manchester and London and quietly present the unfamiliar with all the reasons they should get to know.
