Ayewah!
by ZAINAB and Tony Quattro

— Released 5th June 2026 on Technicolour

ZAINAB announces new single “Ayewah!”, a collaboration with Tony Quattro, out today on Ninja Tune’s Technicolour imprint.
“‘Aywah’ basically means ‘yes girl’ in Arabic,” explains ZAINAB, “and that’s exactly what the song is - for the girls. It’s a fun, dancey, dance-floor weapon — a peak-time banger with a mijwiz lead.”
The track was inspired by ZAINABs time on the road touring with Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna. “After every set, her friends and family would big each other up by saying, ‘Ayewah, ayewah!’ and it became part of my lexicon. When I got back in the studio, I wanted to make a song inspired by that word.”

“I asked Elyanna to send me some vocals, so she got in the studio and sent me a bunch of fun chants. Tony and I took some of those and put them in the song. So she’s actually peppered throughout the track.”
