Roots Manuva has been nominated for another award, and golly, this one is large. The UK Festival awards are, according to one of our favourite papers, the 'festival equivalent of the Oscars,' so who are we to argue. Roots Manuva has picked up another nomination in the 'urban' category.
On a more serious note, there's a major prize to be won if you vote for Rodney. In the organisers' words - 'All fans who vote are entered in to a draw to win the ultimate live music prize - tickets for every winning festival’s 2009 event as well as the opportunity to present the ‘Best Major Festival Award’ at The UK Festival Awards Ceremony at the Indigo2.'
So please do vote, and you could be hearing a lot of excellent live music next year.

Never one to be strictly analogue, Roots Manuva's new website is, we think, quite spiffingly contemporary. The Digital Music Awards people seem to agree, because they've just nominated it for the Best Urban Artist award. We still don't like the word urban, but we do like the odd award, and we do think our web-geniuses Kleber deserve some limelight now and again.
If you've enjoyed the site, with it's self-updading news and pictures and the odd blog from Rodney Smith himself, we would very much appreciate your vote! You can add your click to the cause here, and every one counts!

To celebrate the continuing genius of Infinite Livez we are proud to present a free download of "1999," a cover of the classic Prince funk-pop gem. Currently 9 years past it's sell-by-date, Inf and Stade have had inordinate amounts of fun playing the tune live and so have decided to record it for your delight and horror. Sounding like a combination of karaoke, the Mighty Boosh and the devil masturbating, "1999" will never quite be 1999 again. And even if it was it wouldn't be. Getme?
